What is 5-MAPB?

5-(2-Methylaminopropyl)benzofuran (5-MAPB) is a synthetic empathogen from the class of substituted benzofurans. Benzofurans generally produce feelings of euphoria, empathy, and stimulation, as well as mild hallucinogenic effects. This chemical class includes other chemicals such as 5-APB, 4-APB, and 6-APB, among others. 5-MAPB is the N-methylated form of 5-APB, analogous to MDMA, the N-methylated form of MDA.

What effect does 5-MAPB have?
